Where are your members from?
Our members come from all over the world! Most of our members are located in the New England area but we annually host students from Texas, Florida, California and even as far as Italy and Australia!
How do I become a member?
Membership is through an audition proccess. This proccess usually begins in December and will continue until all spots are filled with qualfiied performers. Click here for more about membership
How much does it cost to be a member?
7th Regiment fees consist of a Registration Fee, an Audition Fee, Camp Fees and a Participation Fee. Our fees are tiered depending on how long you have been a member in the corps. Here is a breakdown of our 2017 fees:
How can I offset the cost of my fees?
Fees can be offset through sponsorship, scholarships and fundraisers, all of which depends on your efforts. We give members ample time and resources to fundraise. More information about our fundraising efforts for 2017 will be distributed at camps.
What is the time commitment?
Our season spans from December to early August. We have one weekend camp per month from December until May. Weekend camps begin Friday evening and conclude late afternoon on Sunday. Beginning in early June we are together every weekend either rehearsing or performing. Prior to tours we have a week of “all-days”. Our first tour is usually the week of the Fourth of July and the second tour begins late July and ends the second weekend in August at DCI Finals in Indianapolis. Click here to view our 2017 Calendar
I will be flying to the camps. What should I do?
You should plan to fly into Bradley International (BDL). You should arrive before 3pm Friday and departing after 7pm on Sunday if possible. Prior to booking flights please email Assistant Director, Jim O’Neil with your flight number, expected arrival time and any other information.
What if drum corps interferes with winter guard, winter percussion, band concerts, etc.?
Each situation is dealt with on a case by case basis. Prior approval is required by the Corps Director and Caption Heads. We understand that there will be conflicts, but we ask that you speak with the Director and Caption Heads regarding all absences.
What if I’m still in school when the summer season starts?
School comes first. These conflicts and be dealt with in advanced and if you have a school conflict please contact the director at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you can.
What if my college orientation takes place when I’ll be with the drum corps?
College oreintation or similar events are important. If you can find a way to reschedule around 7th Regiment’s schedule please make your best effort but if you can not, please contact the director at email@example.com as soon as you can.
Will the drum corps provide housing for me in the summer?
7th Regiment provides housing throughout the winter weekend camps, summer weekend/weekday rehearsals and while on tour. We work with local families to house students when we are not rehersing during the week between rehearsals. More information about this will be shared soon.
Do I need to prepare anything for the audition?
Each Caption Head will determine the materials required for their respective audition. Once you register, audition materials will be made available. Auditions consist of both a visual and musical component. Click here for more about membership
Do I need to bring my own equipment to the audition?
Yes, because we have a limited amount of instruments, it is encouraged for brass, drum line and guard members to bring their own equipment. Front ensemble instruments will be provided.
Can I audition on my primary instrument?
Yes! We encourage all musicians to audition for 7th Regiment. If your primary instrument is not in our ensemble, we want to hear you on your primary instrument in addition to the instrument you are auditioning on.
Can I audition for Drum Major?
We are currently not accepting drum major auditions for the 2017 season.

Is it possible for me to audition via video?
If you are unable to attend the Audition Camp, a video audition may be arranged. Please register using charms and contact the director at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on video auditions.
